Briefings

Automatic pre-meeting preparation with customer context, open topics and alerts.

What it is for

A briefing is an automatic summary generated ahead of a calendar meeting: who you are meeting, what is happening with that customer, which topics are open, what changed since the last interaction, and whether there are alerts (low health, unresolved critical ticket, upcoming renewal).

It is generated only for meetings with customers in your book whose calendar integration is connected.

When to use it

10 minutes before a call with a customer you have not handled in weeks.
Coming back from holiday: the week's briefings ready when you open your calendar.
Handovers: the new CSM reads 3 briefings and already has useful context.

How to reach it

The briefing arrives as a task, not as a separate screen. It is titled "Meeting Prep: <customer>" and assigned to whoever has the meeting on their calendar.

From My Tasks: the prep task shows up there, alongside the rest of your day.
From the customer: record → AI Insights tab for the analysis, or the Tasks tab for the task itself.

If the meeting is on someone else's calendar, the briefing is theirs, even if you are the account's CSM.

Requirement: a connected Google Calendar or Microsoft Calendar integration. See Integrations.

Example

Joaquín opens My Tasks in the morning and finds "Meeting Prep: Acme Corp", generated overnight for his 10:00 meeting with Ana Torres. The briefing tells him:

Status: Green (health 78).
Renewal: in 45 days.
Last contact: 8 days ago (email replying to a reported bug).
Open topics: HubSpot integration request (unanswered), follow-up on February's feature request.
Alert: product usage dropped 22% over the last 2 weeks.

He walks in ready to ask about usage and to give an update on the integration.

What it does not do

It does not draft a suggested agenda.
It is not generated for internal events (no customer attached).
It does not replace your own deep prep for executive meetings (QBR, large renewal).

Known limitations

It only works with the Google Calendar and Microsoft Calendar integrations. iCloud and others are not supported yet.
Briefings are generated by a daily process, not minutes before each meeting. There is no manual trigger: if you schedule at short notice, that meeting may go without a briefing.
