Integrations

HubSpot

Connect HubSpot via OAuth and sync companies, contacts and deals into LealUp.

The HubSpot integration brings your portfolio and its sales activity into LealUp: companies become customers, and their contacts and deals feed the 360 record.

What it does

  • Companies → customers — HubSpot companies with at least one won deal sync as LealUp customers.
  • Contacts → contacts — contacts from those companies land on the customer record (name, email, phone, title).
  • Deals → commercial signal — associated deals feed the renewals view and account activity.
  • Notes and activities → timeline — interactions logged in HubSpot appear on the customer timeline.

Sync is automatic and periodic; you can also force it with Sync now.

What it does NOT do (v1)

  • Does not write to HubSpot — sync is one-way (HubSpot → LealUp). Edits in LealUp don't travel back.
  • Does not backfill the full engagement history — activity syncs from connection time onward.

How to connect

  1. Settings → Integrations → HubSpot → Connect.
  2. Authorize with your HubSpot account (OAuth); you need HubSpot super admin permissions to install apps.
  3. Back in LealUp you'll see the connection status and last sync.
  4. Optional: Sync now to skip the wait for the next cycle.

Assumptions worth knowing

  • A company without won deals is not created as a customer (avoids filling LealUp with prospects).
  • Contacts without a company, or whose company is not a customer, are skipped.
  • If a customer already existed in LealUp (via CSV or manual) with the same domain, sync links it instead of duplicating.

Security

  • OAuth authentication; tokens are stored encrypted.
  • Disconnect (Settings → Integrations → HubSpot → Disconnect) revokes credentials in LealUp; already-synced data stays to preserve history.

Common issues

"I connected and see no customers"

  • Check that your companies have won deals (that's the criterion to create them as customers).
  • Wait for the first sync cycle or use Sync now.

"Contacts are missing"

  • Only contacts associated with a company that is a customer are imported. Standalone contacts don't travel.
