Outlook and Microsoft 365
Connect Outlook to send and receive email from LealUp, and sync your Microsoft 365 calendar.
If your team works in Microsoft 365, LealUp connects to Outlook for email and to the Microsoft calendar for meetings. It works like the Google integration: each person connects their own account, and what they do is recorded on the customer's record.
Before connecting: it has to be enabled
Unlike other integrations, the Microsoft one ships off by default in every organization. An admin has to turn it on before anyone can connect their account:
Settings → Integrations → Email → enable Microsoft (Outlook)
If you are a CSM and you do not see the option to connect Outlook, that is why: ask your admin.
Connecting your account
- Settings → Integrations → Outlook → Connect.
- Authorize with your Microsoft 365 account.
- You come back to LealUp and see the connection status.
You may need your Microsoft 365 administrator's approval. Many organizations require admin consent before an external application can access mail. If authorizing shows you a message asking for approval, that is not a LealUp error: it is your company's policy. Talk to whoever administers your Microsoft 365.
What it does
- Send from LealUp using your Outlook account. The customer receives the email from your usual address, not from a LealUp address.
- Receive and read threads in LealUp's inbox, grouped by conversation.
- Automatic timeline logging on the customer's record, so the rest of the team sees the conversation without anyone forwarding anything.
Calendar
- Meeting sync from your Microsoft calendar.
- Create events from LealUp.
- Meetings feed the AI briefings before each call, the same as with Google Calendar.
What it does not do
- It is not a full mail client. LealUp shows your conversations with customers, not your whole Outlook.
- It does not send on your behalf unasked. No automation sends email on its own.
Security
- OAuth authentication; we never ask for your Microsoft password.
- Tokens are stored encrypted and rotated automatically.
- Disconnecting revokes the credentials in LealUp. Already-synced data is kept so the customer's history is not lost.
Common problems
"I do not see the option to connect Outlook"
The Microsoft integration is not enabled for your organization. An admin turns it on under Settings → Integrations → Email.
"Authorizing asks for administrator approval"
That is your Microsoft 365 policy, not LealUp's. Your Microsoft administrator has to approve the application for your organization.
"I connected and I see no email"
Sync brings in conversations from the connection onwards, not your whole history. Send or receive an email with a customer and check their record.
