Common questions from people evaluating or using LealUp.

Product

Is LealUp a CRM?

No. We integrate with your CRM (HubSpot and Pipedrive available today). LealUp focuses on post-sale: adoption, retention, renewals, expansion. We consume pipeline data to inform renewals, we don't replace the CRM.

Does it replace Gainsight / ChurnZero?

For most LATAM B2B SaaS, yes. For ultra-enterprise teams (1000+ CSMs, global deployments), those platforms still have more depth. We compete on the 30-300 customers, 3-30 CSMs tier with lower cost and faster implementation.

What languages does it support?

Spanish (default), Portuguese, English. Each user chooses their interface locale. Workspace data (customer names, notes) remains in whatever language you write.

Where is my data stored?

In managed PostgreSQL in the cloud, with per-workspace isolation at the data layer: every query is scoped to your organization, and that isolation is verified by automated tests on every change. Traffic is encrypted (TLS) and integration credentials are stored encrypted. Automatic daily backups. We never use your data to train models.

Billing

How much does it cost?

Pricing is based on ARR under management (bands over the sum of your customers' ARR), not per seat: unlimited seats. Plans, prices and terms are agreed directly with our sales team: write to [email protected] or book a demo at lealup.com.

Why not per seat?

Because it misaligns incentives: you'd pay more for using it more. Pricing by ARR under management aligns with the customer: if you grow and retain, you pay proportionally.

Onboarding

How long does implementation take?

The assistant estimates around 21 minutes for the technical setup, across 8 steps you can skip or delegate. Then 1-2 weeks to have your whole team working in LealUp, depending on team size and how many custom fields you need.

What does my CSV need to import customers?

Minimum: name, domain. Recommended: arr, status, owner_email, renewal_date. You can add any custom field you created. Download the template from the import step itself.

Security and compliance

How do you protect my data?

Per-workspace isolation verified by automated tests on every change, credentials encrypted at rest, and an audit log of sensitive actions. Details in our privacy policy.

Who owns the data?

You. 100%. LealUp never sells, rents, or shares workspace data. We don't use it to train models. Our AI agents retrieve over your workspace data only.

How do users sign in?

With Google or with email and password, always by invitation to your organization's workspace.

Is there an audit log?

Yes. Sensitive actions (login, changes, exports, deletions) are recorded with actor, workspace and trace id. Available under Settings → Audit logs.

Integrations

Does it work with Outlook?

Yes. Outlook and the Microsoft 365 calendar are available; the integration ships off by default and an admin enables it under Settings → Integrations → Email. See Outlook and Microsoft 365.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes, via the official WhatsApp Business API (through our provider Kapso). We don't support personal WhatsApp (it's not an official API and breaks Meta's ToS).

Does it work with my product analytics tool?

Native connectors for analytics tools (PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment) are coming soon. Today you can send product events through our event ingestion API or CSV.

What if my tool isn't listed?

Send your data through our event ingestion API, or email [email protected]: we prioritize connectors based on demand.

Privacy and AI

Does the AI read my emails?

Only those already indexed in LealUp (the ones you explicitly connected via the Gmail integration). Never from accounts you didn't connect.

Are my emails used to train models?

No. LealUp's AI uses retrieval over your workspace, not fine-tuning. We don't use your data for any global training.

API

Is there an API?

Yes: an ingestion API for product events and billing data, authenticated with your workspace API key (Settings → API Key). The full reference, with examples and error codes, is in Ingestion API.

Other

Is there a mobile app?

Not a native one. The web app is mobile-responsive (works on phone/tablet browser).
