Products and subscriptions

Track multiple products per customer — set up your catalog, assign products, and read per-product MRR, health, renewal, and capacity.

If your company sells more than one product, LealUp can track each product separately inside a single customer account. Instead of one MRR, one renewal, and one health score per customer, you assign products to a customer and manage the MRR, renewal, lifecycle stage, capacity, and health of each product independently. The customer's account MRR is the sum of its products.

This is ideal for customers with distinct contracts per product line. If you sell a single product, nothing changes — the per-product views only appear once your catalog has at least one product.

1. Set up your product catalog

The catalog is the list of products your company sells. You fill it once and reuse it across all customers.

  1. Go to Settings → Products ("Product catalog").
  2. Click "Add product".
  3. Fill in the name, and optionally:
    • a code / SKU (useful for matching imports — see Pipedrive),
    • a description,
    • commercial defaults: default billing cycle, list price, and seats.
  4. Save.

Creating and editing the catalog is admin-only. The commercial defaults are just starting points — when you assign the product to a customer, they pre-fill the form and you can adjust them per customer.

You don't have to fill the catalog perfectly up front. Add products as you go and edit them anytime in Settings → Products.

2. Assign a product to a customer

Once a product exists in the catalog, you assign it to a customer from the Customer 360:

  1. Open the customer's 360 view.
  2. In the "Products" panel on the right sidebar, click "Assign product".
  3. Pick the product. The form pre-fills the billing cycle, MRR, and seats from the product's defaults — edit them for this customer if needed.
  4. Save.

This creates a subscription: a per-product record with its own MRR, billing cycle, seats, renewal date, and lifecycle stage. The customer's MRR is recalculated as the sum of its products.

Both CSMs and admins can assign products to a customer. (Only admins manage the catalog itself.)

The account MRR is calculated from the products — you don't edit it by hand. To change a customer's MRR, edit the MRR of each product.

3. Read the per-product views

Once a customer has products, several screens give you a per-product breakdown:

Customer 360 — Products panel

The right-sidebar Products panel shows, for each product:

  • MRR
  • Health (a colored indicator)
  • Lifecycle stage
  • Renewal date

Open a product to see and edit its detail, including its capacity plans — usage limits are tracked per product, so each product's usage is counted on its own (not summed across products).

Renewals

Besides the usual per-customer list, Renewals offers a per-subscription view and a "Product" filter, so you can work renewals product by product — each contract has its own renewal date.

Lifecycle pipeline

The pipeline has a "View by product" toggle. With it on, each product is its own card and advances through stages independently — a customer can be live on three products and still onboarding a fourth.

Dashboard

The dashboard has a "View by product" breakdown showing MRR/ARR, active customers, and churn per product — useful for reporting which product line drives revenue or risk.

4. Per-product health shows "—" until the next recalculation

When you assign a product, its health appears as "—" / "N/A" until the customer's health score is recalculated. Per-product health is computed during the health calculation, so it fills in at the next recalculation — there's nothing extra you need to do.

Single-product accounts are unaffected

The per-product UI only appears once your catalog has at least one product. If you don't use the catalog:

  • there's no "Products" panel to manage,
  • the customer behaves exactly as it does today,
  • MRR, renewal, and health stay at the account level.

You can adopt products gradually: add one product to the catalog and assign it to the customers that need it, while the rest of your book keeps working unchanged.
